My Studio Face

So I mentioned in my other journal entry how we are discovering our sound. “That’s strange”, you may be thinking. How could we be just now finding our sound? I mean, we had been playing since 2011. Why did it take 3 whole ass years? Well, because we spent all those years developing our live shows, and not our actual sound that defines us. We didn’t work on crafting the sound you’d hear while you were at home doing the barbecue thing. Or when you were bumpin’ in your car. The closest we came before this point was our hit “You Don’t Want Me (Crazy)”. That song definitely led us to turn an earlier corner. After that it wasn’t until earlier this year (June 2020) when we got with our production team at Colemine Records and happened to lay down some fire (to be released in the future). Oh, and we were also recording at Akron’s Electric Company Records, where we coincidentally also recording and discovering the sound.

What is this new sound like? You’re gonna feel a little bit of hip hop origins. Also more crooning. And finally, imagine you programmed yourself to Wu Tang from 1992 through now, and also Barry White, Nat King Cole, and Little Ann was in there too. But it’s Wesley Bright, Press Play.
